This is the “Land of Enchantment” for its natural beauty and for touristical purposes. The capital is Santa Fe and its main cities are Albuquerque, Los Cruces, Rio Rancho, Ruswell and others.
Besides a high percentange of latin inhabitants, it also counts on indian tribes as the Apaches, towns, and Navajas. This state is dedicated to the crops of Hay, chullies, nuts, cotton and onios.
The tipical food of New Mexico is very different but very similar from Mexico. Chilly peppers are necessary. There pork meat is more important than Cow´s. Corn is used instead of flour. The main courses are Green chillies with meat, yucca burns and Panoche puddin.
New Mexico wildlife is huge. Among some animals we can find the Mexican Gray Wolf, cougars, bobcats, jaguars, Lynx, coyote, elk and many others.
The state flower is the Yucca and was adopted in 1927. The state tree is the Pinon and the state vegetables are the chile and beans.
